1. Review

First, we begin with a discussion of your case history.

What brings you in?
What are your concerns?

2. Evaluate

Next, we evaluate your hearing with a series of tests.

Using pure-tone audiometry, we measure the threshold of sounds that are audible to you.
We assess your ability to detect and discriminate one and two syllable words with speech audiometry.
Using tympanometry (variations of pressure in the ear canal), we examine the condition of the middle ear, the mobility of the middle ear, and the mobility of the eardrum and the middle ear bones.

3. Treat

Then, we use the results of our discussion and your hearing evaluation to personally tailor your best course of treatment.
